Resort World, Marston Green, Birmingham B40 1PU

Saturday

May 10th 2025

8:30am - 4:05pm

The Vox brings to the table an intriguing hybrid; a purpose-built venue, but set within a unique, immersive environment on the NEC campus and within Resorts World Birmingham. You’ll find custom-built spaces, not comfort zones. The future-proofed infrastructure is used to enhance, not distract.

The Vox team believe that change is good. After all, it’s what keeps things interesting. It’s this thinking that makes The Vox a distinctly different beast from other venues. A venue that’s known for breaking event convention in terms of its fresh approach, modern facilities and unique 24/7 immersive location.

The super-powered venue drives creativity and inspires change.

Dr Vishal Klaire

Vishal graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2011, and then completed his vocational training in Shropshire. During this time he worked predominately within the NHS and built his passion for dentistry in particular Endodontics. After attending many courses he soon decided he would like to focus on his interest in Endodontics and so decided to study for a Masters of Clinical Dentistry (MClinDent) in Endodontology, working alongside some of the best Endodontists in the UK. His studies were designed to help him on this pathway to become an expert in Root Canal Treatment.

Vishal has now limited his practice to endodontics to focus on his passion. He believes in a caring style to treating his patients and thoroughly believes in putting patients interests first. He has established a good working relationship with many colleagues within the midlands to give patients a multi skilled experience during their treatment.
When not looking through his microscope, Vishal is busy spending time with his family.

Monty Halls

Monty is a former Royal Marines Officer, best known for his three hugely popular BBC series 'Great Escapes', where he lived on the West Coasts of Scotland and Ireland with his dog Rueben.

Monty went on to present the multi-award winning BBC NHU blue chip series ‘Great Barrier Reef, The Fisherman’s Apprentice, again for the BBC, as well as series for Discovery and Channel 5.

During this period he also led a number of scientific and research expeditions to remote locations such as Namibia, Malawi, Tamil Nadu, and Central America. These projects led to him being awarded the Bish Medal for services to exploration.

Since starting his own production company, Monty has produced and presented three series for Channel Four. “WWII’s Great Escapes: The Freedom Trails” broadcast to critical acclaim in late 2017, and in 2018 the whole Halls family featured in a poignant conservation mission to the Galapagos for the landmark series “My Family and the Galapagos”. A second series of 'My Family' aired in 2020. His relationship with the islands goes back many years, and as President of the Galapagos Conservation Trust he remains very much involved in the fight for their preservation. He is also a global ambassador for the Durrell Wildlife and Conservation Trust.

Monty has written twelve books, and is a regular contributor to magazines and newspapers, many of them communicating his enthusiasm for the natural world. His latest book, on the origins of the Commandos, is due out early next year.

In 2020, during lockdown, Monty created and completed one of the world’s most demanding Iron Man courses (with an elevation gain of three times sea level to the summit of Ben Nevis) along the cliffs, bays, paths, and lanes of his native Devon. The event ran in late July, and raised £50,000 to support veterans' charities.

His series about the Royal Marines was broadcast on BBC2 in 2022, and his accompanying book released to co-incide with the 40th Anniversary of the Falklands War. This book delved deep into the ethos and culture of one of the world's most successful military organisations.

In the summer of 2023, Monty and his family set sail around the coast of the South West of England, creating short films on the effects of climate change, plastic pollution and other environmental issues our country is facing. The resultant project - Generation Sea Change - told the stories of citizen scientists and community conservation initiatives to an international audience.

As a speaker he is in demand nationally and internationally, speaking on topics such as leadership under duress, team culture, and operating in stressful environments.
